Hi all,
    I have been trying to immo off an ME7.5 ecu but i appear to have bricked the ECU! 
    I pulled the eeprom file with VAG commander and tried to use vag commander to set immo off and write it back but think it's corrupted it somehow.  I then used eepromtool_04 from the nefmoto forum to alter the original file to immo off with the intention of writing it back with galletto but it won't talk to my ecu. 
Yesterday i tried MPPS which will ID, read & write to the ecu in boot mode but it will only write back the file i have just read which i assume is corrupted. If i try to write back the original file it won't do anything, almost like it doesn't recognise the file type.
Could somebody please have a look at the two attached files and tell me if there is anything wrong with them? One is the original file with immo and the other is the one i have modified.
I really want to learn how to do this stuff myself so would be great to know what i have done wrong.

Thanks for looking at the file gizmo. 
I flashed the eeprom and MPPT said it was successful but i still have the same issue where i try to communicate with the ecu when not in boot mode MPPT says "ecu not found" 
Any ideas?

Well next time open ecu and desolder eeprom and read by external programmer , that way you ne safe from such mess , my advise
I can suggest you to find eeprom file and do what I mention above and test

Xprog m as my collegue advise good and cheap and you have many choices
Depends on budget
And remember one programmer never enough depends on what your needs

Just before i go spending more money on tuning tools can someone please see if the attached file is ok? MPPS says there is a checksum error when i try to write it but when i run checksum in mpps it says there's no errors.
