Broken genuine VAS5054A - What is this kind of part?
Hi!
Can someone tell me what the part in the red circle is? The part seems to be broken and that's probably why my original 5054A doesn't work anymore. The case wobbles totally and almost falls off. Underneath it looks like thin copper wire. And maybe someone can even tell me where I can get this part. I am thankful for every help. If you like my post and it helped you, please press +

For it to lose, either there was too much of heat or vibrations. Heat can be caused by many factors. Measure the voltage across the capacitor terminals shown in the attached photo. It should be 5 Volts. If not, Change the capacitor and the coil. The IC "LT 1976" (above the inductor) is a step-down voltage converter that drives this inductor and supplies the VAS 5054. Check also that the ferrite bead is in place and for continuity. Have seen heads with that part melted the solder and fall off from the board. |
