Hi!

Can someone tell me what the part in the red circle is? The part seems to be broken and that's probably why my original 5054A doesn't work anymore. The case wobbles totally and almost falls off. Underneath it looks like thin copper wire. And maybe someone can even tell me where I can get this part.
I am thankful for every help.

The part that is wobbling is the shield of the Choke/Inductor.
Just glue it in place with silicone. For it to lose, either there was too much of heat or vibrations. Heat can be caused by many factors. Measure the voltage across the capacitor terminals shown in the attached photo. It should be 5 Volts. If not, Change the capacitor and the coil. The IC "LT 1976" (above the inductor) is a step-down voltage converter that drives this inductor and supplies the VAS 5054. Check also that the ferrite bead is in place and for continuity. Have seen heads with that part melted the solder and fall off from the board.

Is it 33uH or 330uH? Because there is a 330 printet on the shield. And both are for sale 33uH & 330uH.

this is just "filter" when the voltage is "step down" from 12 to 5 so the "value" does not matter that much don't gut "under" the original will be ok (little bigger)....
