Ok. I cleared all VIN from eeprom and inserted it in the car. Then injected cafd and red dot was gone!

Because CAS sent new mileage from bdc and that overwritten all existing. So it works, only if you insert it in the car.

By the way lowering kms also worked. So kombi is practically virgin now…

I guess 35160WT chips the vin is encrypted. I cant seem to find them but on 35128WT they are obviously visible... and easy to clear.

great work! i am about to do the same on my countryman f60 as you have done and just want to clarify couple of things so i understand.

So you removed 
1 longvin @ 0E0 and 0F0

short vin @ 2F0
short vin @ 2EC0
short vin @ 30C0 

and put FF there instead?

What progammer did you use to read/write it back to 35128? 

i have a vvdi prog and can read my 35128WT but havent tried to write it yet

just to let you know if you are in the same process of doing this as me.

I removed longvin at 0E0 and short vin at 2F0, 2EC0 at 30C0 and filled with FF instead.


I wrote it back to the eeprom (m35128WT) with my VVDI prog. Sodder the eeprom back to cluster and then mounted it in my mini countryman. 


All worked perfect after coded it!!

For MINI cluster with 35160 chip , vin is writen into chip 95320 . that chip is located next to 35160. good luck.

95320… that ic number is not visible on this board..
