Hello everyone! Need to replace dashboard in BMW i3.
Help find and remove VIN in 35160wt dashboard dump.
Previously, I was able to do this using the HEX editor, but now unfortunately this method does not work. Looks like the VIN is encrypted.

this file is read by vvdi prog. I also tried to read with r270 - the result is the same...

35160 i could not reset. Ended up corrupting the chip. The data on the chip is encrypted, i cant find vin location. On 35128 i could clear vin and lowe milage with cg pro.

I solved this problem. I used a dump from an old EEPROM (BMW i3 2013 D160) and an ID from the EEPROM that was in the new dashboard. Recorded the received dump of VVDI prog in 35160DW.

Why did you change the kombi?

CG Prog is a useless tool.

It corrupt many eeproms, even the 160DQW

Best option is to take a 35160 chip (Buy it on internet)

Than the thing to do is to write the data with milage as 0 to the chip and readout the chip ID from old and put it into new 35160

I knoiw there is a emulator, the way it works is that you need solder ORI eeprom on it and solder Emulator eeprom on it, than power the baord and the board writes the data including chip ID to emulator, and the milage its set to 0 by the tool self.

Now the problem is that the emulator eeprom have no steel legs, and its not so easy to solder it to the kombi.

So i wonder if someone alsready try to put a empty 35160 to the board in stead of the emulator eeprom, i wonder if the tool then write all data including chip ID to empty 35160 eeprom.
