e90 M57 dead dde after welding
Hi, i have e90 m57 after welding, no communication with dde - supply voltage 2,5v. Everything unplugged from the engine (Turbo serwomotor is burned). With unplugged dde supply voltage is 12v, with plugged voltage drop to 2,5v ( even if i connect only supply pins). Wiring harness looks ok, i try with unplugged cas, gas pedal etc. 3 diffrent dde and always 2.5v. What i missed?

You missed corroded/damaged connection. Or almost burnt fuse. Or some other damage in the DDE power wire (potentially ground wire, depending on where you are measuring those 2.5V) having higher resistance and causing voltage drop under load.

Then measure voltage on JBE. Then along wires and find where exactly it drops. Though AFAIR voltage to DDE does not go through JBE on M57.

on battery (positve side) car you have a distributor the complete part has fuses in it i think it ist broken had the same issue, you can give on dde direct positive the you know if your dde is burnt or not, just take jumpstart point + and wire it to dde for checking

Sometimes the oxygen sensor gets punctured during welding, remove the connector will be clear or the suppressor in the ECU

check grounds and power at the DME first, then work your ways towards the battery
