I always find on first start with esys i cant connect so i run ista and connect up for a fault scan. Then close it and open esys. Normally works.

Did you solve the problem? I have K050 and also can't connect esys. ISTA and tool32 works fine. I didn't try locking ICOM to OBD_ab625 however. Only BMW services:

Last night I tried to connect k48 k1600 2010 with icom and genuine icom d.
Ista works perfectly but I couldn't connect with esys. Tried with ista without ista icom locked to obd ab 625 locked to diagbus and every port in esys with no luck. Any ideas? |

how to connect it directly when icom is obd and bike is with round plug.
I also tried with cheap china cable without electronic - same thing |

Try to read and reserve the ICOM with ISTA. (only idetification without vehicle test)
Then try to cinnect with E-sys, while ISTA reserved the diagnostic head. Vojnó
