RE: ACC not working after I-Level update F10 LCI
ACC has to be recalibrated after software update on FRR01. It works for the first couple of miles then requires calibration. U can get a mirror and u can type the wheel parameters manually. And done with it!

RE: ACC not working after I-Level update F10 LCI
I have a similar problem with an F31. I did a retrofit, went to a BMW workshop to calibrate it, some days it works fine, other days I can't even activate it because the fault appears. It may not work for 1 2 days and then it works again. I don't know what else to do.

Hey, is it always required to calibrate the ACC after software update? My BMW friend said this is the first time this happened...

Anyway do you have instructions on how to calibrate the sensor by myself with an mirror?

Thanks in advance.

If you paid for it and made it officially at the BMW workshop, I would go to the workshop and complain about it.

If not you can only wait for more answers like me...

Never heard about recalibration after update. And if calibration is required, then must be fault set in ECU and visible in ISTA

Yes, my friend who works at BMW also never needed to calibrate the ACC after any software update.
When making the update there was nothing visible concerning calibration or fault set in ISTA. If it would be requrired, ISTA should make/shedule it automatically.

If I go into ISTA, there exists an option to calibrate the ACC but it would require special tools. (mirror)

You need more then only simple mirror.

It's a bit unbelievable that ACC fails and there are NO FAULTS at all. What interface are you using for ISTA? Did you do diagnosis right after battery reset by any chance?

Hey, I did read somewhere that these kind of ACC errors are only displayed in iDrive and get deleted with ignition on/off.

I am using ISTA+ 4.33.30 Standalone with ENET-cable, but the official Dealer Laptop with ICOM from my friend at BMW also shows no errors. So I don´t think it is an software/interface problem.

Attached the 2 faults that appear in iDrive (sorry only in German)

ok, I already supposed that but it will be my last step to go to the dealer for calibration, at first I would like to exclude any possible other faults.
Because if it doesn´t work after calibration, I wasted the money....

RE: ACC not working after I-Level update F10 LCI
I guess if I check with Ista there will be a report from Ista about the error

If you want we can try but I am pretty sure that no errors concerning this problem will occur.

I used my own ISTA+ 4.33.30 Standalone and also official BMW Dealer Laptop with original ICOM and BMW worker. None of these showed an fault concerning the ACC. (only have DDE fault and DPF). The same faults showed on the BMW laptop as on mine, so I am sure the diagnosis software / laptop / interface is not the problem...

Maybe there is no other way as to go to the Dealer, pay for the calibration and hope that it will work in the end.
