Hi there, I have retrofitted a CIC system into my 2006 E90 because my CCC system was faulty.
I would like to check the Firmware version so I can use the BMW CIC CRACK V2 to activate Navigation.

How is this possible to check? I have Bmw Tools.

Use ncsexpert. Change FA date, then select CIC ecu and read it. You will see fw index after read it.

Thank you, I managed to follow your reply and it seems my CIC firmware is CIC.C13 which would be why the CIC Crack doesn't work..

What's the best way to change the firmware using a K+DCAN cable please?

Not.....

Only use an icom to do the firmware update, do not use a d-can lead you **will** brick the cic.

You might hear people say, "it can be done blah blah blah", but please to not try it, it wont work.

My advice, use an icom a and icom b.
