have same issue. unfortunately new dsc unit wont help, well it will, but there will be error in kombi when steering, to do it properly cas upgrade also required, with it also elv must be changed. for 2004 cars there are different szl with cruise control listed on realoem, but there are nowhere to find.

Are you sure you used the correct SZL? The ones for 2004 are different than for 2005 E87

so in 2004 12 on E8x DSC CAS ELV SZL is changed, so if you change the DSC to newer, SZL also must come form newer one. i did only DSC and SZL swap. And then while steering ELV error pops up inkombi, which is annoying, so to fix it CAS upgrade is required, as new SZL and DSC has newer software with different CAN bus messages and old CAS does not understand them.

For 2004 you only need the correct SZL with correct part number, nothing else, did it many times

Might be stupid but why not add cruise control to fa and let ista-p calculate measurement plan? If it wants dsc replaced it should show. Ofcourse you will need correct szl

I've tried every option, ISTA-P still doesn't offer retrofit for Cruise Control. The error for me is really in the DSC coding index. I have ZSL correctly. (9121894, No additional equipment (only rear wiper))

It's not like that! MK60_87.C07 It does not have an option in the coding index for any cruise control.

Strange, but I did it like that a few times, and it worked. But everytime I made sure I used the correct SZL

I apologize to everyone who advised me to check the correct version of SZL. The dealer who sold me the used SZL replaced the motherboard in the unit. The label is type 9121894, in fact it is type 6989579. Used for e82,88,90,92,93. I only figured it out today, thanks to another e87 coming to the diagnosis. So the conclusion is as follows. That cruise control can be added to the car.

A new question on cruise control issues. I used ISTA-P to perform a retrofit. DSC and KOMBI are coded. Cruise control works but does not show any activation information or set speed on the instrument panel. I tried coding in KOMBI KMBI_PL2.C05 parameter TEMPOMAT_SETZ_ANZ_DAUER, wert_01 to wert_02 (0s-3s) did not help. Will someone help me?

You could try winkfp update on the kombi, if that doesn´t help, I suggest you to get newer kombi, sometimes they are pretty cheap
