I am reaching to you for help as I am not able to rectify an issue I've encountered after Route map update (2022-2 Europe East, from this thread: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=60261).
Car is equipped from factory with Entrynav (F25 2017), updated to latest I-step (21-03-545) and was working fine after map 2022-1 Europe East update, done 3 moths ago.

After connection of maps 2022-2 (on USB that was working previously), HU restarted few times but eventually initiated update. Once completed, it restarted again and it is in this state a third day in a row. It boots to main menu, that I can browse it for 15 seconds, but then is shuts down and restarts.

Actions performed so far:
- attempt to update to previous maps - not possible as HU restarts after confirmation of update
- re-programming to the same software using Esys - no difference
- disconnected battery for 24 hrs - no difference
- delete map data using Tool32: entrynav.prg: ARG;NAVI_MAP;STR;0x01 - JOB_STATUS=OKAY but maps are still present as I can enter to Navigation and see car position on map for 2 sec, before it restarts.
- downgrade to I-step 18-03-520 (different (older) SWFLs) using Esys - no difference
- update again to I-step 21-03-545 using ISTA+ - no difference. Right after completion, Navigation was greyed out, but HU rebooted regardless. Now Navigation is available and reboots.

Do you have a suggestions what else I can do ?

Since car runs normally, I took it for a spin (1 hr total) and after 10 min of driving, HU restarts stopped and behaved correctly, including fully functioning navigation, until I turn off vehicle 20 min later. When I turned it on again, for next 30 min, it continued rebooting and still does now. In summary: 10 min not OK - 20 min OK - 30 min not OK.
After this, I torn apart HU and reseated a 32 GB eMMC Micron BGA module from main board, using flux and hot air, but nothing changed.

No error codes in ISTA+.

Seems like a glitch, but I don't know where to look.

1. I have decided to replace Entrynav with NBT. Can somebody confirm that following is correct approach to activate used NBT ?
- Configure tool32 for enet cable.
- Open tool32 and load nbt.prg
- find job named like this: steuern_delete_persistency_intel_plus_swt
- write "SWT" in the argument box
- double click on job
- now select gps_position_repair with argument "2" and nbt will virginized and rebooted
- upload files (certs & FSC's) from custom repair pack, same way as in sticky thread for CIC PATCHER v2.
2. Repair pack cannot be OEM, since HU will be different ?
3. Who can provide such repair pack ?

repair package can be obtained only to your origenal installed HU. In your vehicle was installed EntryNav, then you get only for EntryNav Repkit.

From where You got map update FSC for Route maps ?

I've got FSC from local BMW retrofit seller - suppose to be lifetime. This code has been accepted during previous map update (2022-1) and I was not asked for code during update that failed (2022-2).

I have fixed Entrynav.
Issue was with USB stick used for map update - even after full format it was causing HU reboot.
Steps to fix restart loop via Tool32:
1. To stop restart temporarily (till next power cycle): Open Entrynav.prg->select "diagnose_mode"->enter attribute "$10"->double click on "diagnose_mode".
2. To check if map exist: Select "status_lesen"->enter "ARG;STATUS_MAPMATERIAL_VERSION"->double click on "status_lesen"->last line of results window should show saved map (e.g Road Map EUROPE EAST Route 2022-1).
3. To remove map: Select "steuern_routine"->enter "ARG;NAVI_MAP;STR;0x01"->double click on "steuren_routine"->leave car for 10 min.
4. To confirm if map has been removed: Select "status_lesen"->enter "ARG;STATUS_MAPMATERIAL_VERSION"->double click on "status_lesen"->last line of results window should NOT show saved map anymore (e.g Road Map EUROPE EAST Route 2022-1).
At this point, you can cycle power and HU should not restart anymore.
Proceed with map update from USB stick, that is different than one that caused all hassle.
