MIB2 no sound from right rear speaker
This Golf 2015 has a 5G0035020D unit (in the glovebox).
Can it be changed to a 5G0035020E from another Golf (but it´s from a electric car) and still keep all the functions? I have ODIS online (OEM), but don´t know how to activate NAV, android auto, carplay and maybe some other stuff  Can these SWaP/FEC´s be activated via the Green screen hack? Or is it just as easy? "When you get the dealer to remove component protection (which is pretty quick & easy), the device will see the VIN has changed, and the FeC codes will show up as "Invalid" as the status. When the VW tech runs through the ODIS guided fault finder, ODIS will pull all of the FeC codes applicable to your VIN, and enable them for you on the new infotainment device." |

this is MIB1..... better find mib2 or 2.5..... not worth to work on this.

Mib2 is not an option, in this case.
Does this "new" 5G0035020E unit work with the screen in the car 5G0919606? |

Just fix the amp problem on original unit, resolder or replace the 2 chips.
If you fit a unit with different index you will need an SVM code for ODIS to be able to run a "replace module" function usually, else it will say part number not for vehicle. But for Harman you can manipulate SW/PN very easily to match the original one. |

How do I change the SW from 5G0035020E to 5G0035020D or is that not needed as the "new" unit has the same HW?
