did someone have any success connect software to the car with K+DCAN cable?

i try from Ista 4.29.31 to 4.34.22 without any success to the car
my car has VIN7 not VIN17 but in inpa vin showed (WBA0000000JR51553), is newer ista only identified vehicle with vin17 only? or it need ICOM to resolve VIN7? 
in Log file i see DOMResolver is this for resolving VIN7 or trying to connect online for search that VIN number?

ediabas settings all configured correctly and inpa can detect interface

anyone who have a time please see my Logs file and suggest any advice or point me to solution or information 

P.S: Try from 4.10.20 to 4.20.12 K+DCAN work without problem.

When it comes to ICOM. What settings you have in ISTA ? ENET ICOM Local connection or direct ? I had to update my ICOM Next FW to use it with 4.34.20 - what ICOM you're running ?

No issues with this nor any other ISTA so far, but had simmiliar issues multiple times. Everything else works but ista wont't connect. My solution to this problem was reinstalling BMW Standard Tools or whatever you are running and installs EDIABAS.

Once done everything worked like charm.

BMW switched to full 17-long VINs couple of years ago as they began reusing short 7-long VINs because they already used all possible ones. So ICOM or no ICOM, if long VIN is not stored in your car (and it's E46, so chances are low), ISTA will NOT automatically identify it without online connection to it's backend (and you probably use standalone which does not have one). You will have to manually enter the 17-long VIN to connect to your car. PERIOD.

I don't have ICOM unfortunatly, i use ediabas setting and use dcan cable.
yes done try to uninstalling everything Standard tool, Windows, ISTA itself and nothing to work.

i think u are right ISTA won't identify car with 7-VIN without online connection, and because i am using standalone it's not posible to connect to it's backend.

thanks this information is very helpful, so the problem is 7-VIN need to be resolve to it's backend online, standalone doesn't, rigth?

Do you use ISTA only for your car? For E46?
Then its an idea to use an older version that works for you.
Newer version have no benefit for old cars.

Show us a photo of which interface you have assigned, and if you work with the K+Dcan cable, remember that it has to be in COM9 Lat 1, if you give us more details or tests we will help you.

is your car had 7 digit VIN number or 17 ?
