icom is factory interface, it handles very various voltage coverage, it handles all protocols (tcp, dcan, ds , most). i use it in case of faulty units (or bricked), or in case i want to update whole car with istaD/P

enet - is subpart of icom - you connect only via tcp protocol to ZGW(fem/bdc), also you rely only on ip zgw will assign you (some times it wont work, so you need to get car sleep and than restart everything). in specific case is better, for example when you want update HU, where you need specific IP.

btw only for diagnostic, you can use also dcan cable (on E/F series).

i use icom somtimes at home, but dcan/enet i have in my backpack when i travel, never know and works nearly same.

That's not entirely true, both ZGW and HU happily accept IP address from DHCP server if it is connected via enet cable.

Hi! I have Godiag 600 and ista 4.37.30 that diagnoses well, but does not want to programing , comes out with an error. Ista-p can't programing either.
