I have a bmw edc17cp09 I flashed the tc1796 with ktag clone everything was fine, however after 3 days I got no communication with the dme. Checked all electrical in the car using icon next oem and ista+ all electrical connections are okay. When I open the module to bench it in boot mode no communication the ktag clone, tries to access the module power runs through it but it keeps flashing key on.


Is there anyway to replace any of the capacitors, resistors, chips etc. To get communications back into the module? This is the first car I'm deleting using da Vinci and ktag and before everything was great no out of nowhere something happened. Can someone please help me with this issue as the replacement cost of this module in the US is 800$+. Another thing if there nothing that can be done can I use a edc17cp45 as I can get one in Europe for 300$? Thank you any info is greatly appreciated.

buy a used EDC17CP09 and clone it with the Ktag. BMW ECUs can be cloned including the immobilizer

I’m I able to grab any edc17cp09? Like could I get one from a 330d? Instead of a 335d these ecu have skyrocketed and don’t want to have to drop $1000 on a ecu… my part number is 8511126 to 8510221
