If you live in the USA , or the car is from the USA, you can use > CARFAX < to run a report on the car. Then sometimes, you can tell when the miles were rolled back. COPART is using CARFAX report to indicate this mileage mess.

However, here is what happen to me one time. I had an oil change done at a Quick Lube oil change place and they entered the miles at the time completely wrong on my car. They put 175000, instead of 75000. I found the mistake when I went to sell the car and I ran a CARFAX just to know what it read and I could not believe the car only had 82000 miles but the CARFAX showed they ( Quick Lube ) enter for 175000 miles. I protested to the state about it and they said to file a report with CARFAX. CARFAX at that time in 2010 would not do a thing about the data entry error. It was hard to explain to someone that it was an oil change place data entry error.

Remove cluster and check for original seal, stickers
For F series you can use ista, check dme hours, milleage, and calculate average speed.
Most of cars that i have already checked the average speed was higher than 35km/h

Where to find DME hours in ISTA?

Click on DME in module map and call up ecu functions. Look through the available values you can read.

I think the best way to do that is to go to someone who has BMW explorer. It's possible then to check millage in other modules, even in RDC

Is not it possible to change millage in every module?
