SCANMATIK2 PRO and PSU for EDC17CP02
Hi
I want to test my scanmatic 2 pro and read EDC17 for the first time -not sure what should I use for 12v aux power supply on bench? Can you suggest something reliable? Think regular 5.5mm / 2,5mm pin connector is what I need but not sure about amperage ? Should I go for 5A or 10A ? |

Thanks for tips! I'm about to order PSU but I have one thing that bothers me - will 5A be enough ? Or should I go for 10A ?
General idea for this set-up is peronal use with mainly BMW's. For training I purchased ECU 0 281 016 064 (DDE 8 506 356) from wrecked E83'09 2.0 177hp. Can you guys confirm if this one is EDC17CP02 and what amperage should be used on it ? |

It seems to me there is a VERY big missunderstanding about amperage. to make it simple for regular mechanics, amps are like a fuel flow, used for an injectors, even your pump is capable of 250L/hour...doesn't mean your injectors or the injector rail will drink it all. It is the same story for an Ecu. (sorry if my english is not 100% correct, but u got the idea) |
