Is anyone able to provide a download to this? I would like to update a Touch Command tablet to fix an issue with not being able to connect after a vehicle restart.

You can try resetting the tablet and go through the pairing process in the idrive setting.
1. Switch off BMW Touch Command. Keep the "Power button" pressed for longer.
2. Press the three buttons "Home" + "Power" + "Volume up" simultaneously for approx. 5 seconds.
3. Next, the selection menu appears.
4. Using "Volume Down" navigate to menu item "wipe data / factory reset".
5. Confirm the selection with the "Power button".
6. With the "Volume Down" button navigate to the "Yes -- delete all user data" menu item.
7. Confirm the selection with the "Power button".
8. Using the "Power button" finally confirm the already marked selection "reboot system now".

Then add the tablet to the vehicle
1. Head unit:> MyVehicle > Basic Settings > Device List > Connect new device > BMW Touch Command > Add new Device
2. Tablet / BMW Touch Command: Call up the main menu in the side bar > Settings > Connect to vehicle. After about 10 seconds, the HU appears in the "Devices List"
3. Tablet / BMW Touch Command: Connect the tablet with the head unit by selecting the head unit in the device list.
A dialogue window appears in the head unit with the note that a new device would like to connect.
4. Head unit: In the head unit: Confirm the dialogue via the controller.
The tablet and head unit are connected (with about 15 seconds of delay, the "Demo Mode" label disappears). After establishing the connection, wait for at least 15 seconds. Then process on the tablet or on the head unit.

Thank you kindly for the detailed reply. I actually did those steps before posting this request (found a PDF on google with those steps).

This issue only started with the latest i step upgrade for the g12. BMW is asking for $220 to update the Touch Command so wanted to see if anyone can help here.

The software is only accessible from BMW site when requested so the only option is to look for another dealer with cheaper price.

What is the difference between user and home version? The pdf only explains user version.
Another inquiry, if you update vehicle using psdzdata>2021 will the available files work since they are 2020 software version

Hi there,

I get this following error when trying to update the Touch Command. The Touch Command is on download mode via the button combination.

I have also reset the touch command via the Android internal settings and the button combination mentioned above with no success.
