If you don't have suitable (CID predefined) SD card, than map data is useless and off course SD card won't work.

I've seen that you can change the CID for samsung evo memory cards. even so I want to try it, maybe I can force the CID change somehow in Linux. |

You are right, that's the procedure, but the biggest problem is that now all cid changeable Samsung SD cards are gone from the market (sold out). Samsung patched backdoor bug long time ago and you need to be extremely lucky to find suitable SD for altering CID today. And off course you can't know if it's good or not until you try it...I think at the end it's cheaper for you that you order plug & play ready SD card with the latest map data from Ebay. It will cost you ~30€.

well I've managed to do it, I had an old samsung SD card, a blue writing 32gb class 6 SD card. Working perfectly with V11 europe!
