NBT Evo OABR problem no GPS/Online services
Hi, I have an NBT Evo that has always worked well, since now I've lost GPS signal and at the same time all the online services, it's been a week without work.
If you ask for the location by MyBMW, give the correct location, I changed it to another NBT EVO and everything works fine. it must be a problem with the OABR port, it says poor ethernet communication with the ATM. Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks |

do a continuous ping to the HU, see the connection is stable or not

ping EVO directly with OABR, if stable, you probably have a faulty ATM
make sure you code the GPS to ATM as well |

Can anyone explain how ATM can be faulty if different EVO works properly? IMHO you need to check connector and PCBs of that EVO for ANY contaminants. Maybe even spray those with any good cleaner. Ethernet runs at hundreds of megahertz so even if it looks clean to the eye there could be some kind of contaminant shorting at high frequencies (via capacitive effect).

the OABR solders are completely clean but I'm going to use cleaning fluid. the strangest thing is that he started doing it after activating it with FEMTOEVO.

It could be an issue with flash memory or something. Maybe flash is failing and a specific cells take too long time to be read that ethernet just loses sync during that time. You could try to flash it back to stock and check.
But that is a quite wild guess. |

Yes, I flashed it again and it was the same. I'll try to clean the v850 and flash it with a lower version.

Same problem after flash, no GPS and services, try update services in HU and is greyed in ista not working, restart unit twice and have error, says internal error.
This unit is HW3.1 with blue connector, this come out from Gxx. |
