i have retrofited SA544 in a 2014 E84 X1 (WBAVM71080V293213). I have bought a new  SZL (Part: 61319169763).
I added SA544 to the FA. Written in CAS and NFRM and both encoded. Then DSC coded.
Every guide states that replacing the instrument cluster is only optional and does not have to be installed.
My problem now is that the cruise control doesn't work. I have 3 BUS errors in PT-Can, no speed, no torque and no length angle from DSC to junction box. Has anyone ever had this?

The Option 544 is Dynamic Cruise Controll.

Try to code 540 Crusie Controll - FA/VO in CAS and NFRM than code DSC and 

KOMBI manualy :
ACC_AUSSTATTUNG wert_01 o. wert_02 o. wert_03 ( you have to try witch one works )

TEMPOMAT_SETZ_ANZ_DAUER wert_01 ( 1,5s )

code also KOMBI with VO

$544 are CC with brake function, and not suitable for 4cylinder, try also $540 which is basic CC which is more comon to low equiped e90 series.

Can you post the faults?
If 544 is written in VO, check with ista p if there is any software change proposed from calculation.

some crazy answers here.

X1 E84 has only 544, cruise control with brake function, not important which engine like on E90 cars for example.

As jarark wrote, code the cluster please too - but with VO code 544.

If this didnt help, post the failure codes, perhaps possible as a screenshot of ISTA diagnostic.

this has pt-can faults, nothing to do with cluster. main culprit is dsc i would bet.

Pretty much normal for E84. Try loeschen_kli_fgr_variante in your DDE/DME in tool32 and wait up to 10 minutes.
