6NS should come with wifi antenna. You can check by taking the HU out. Latest NBTevo_Y also has connection problems. This is not related to antenna.

if the car did not come with carplay prep 6CP or 6WD then antenna will not be there.

Here are the options on the car

Right, your car do not come with wifi antenna.
For F36, wifi antenna only come with if your car had 6CP/6NS/6NW.

#8 WLAN cable aerial

Are you sure about 6NS? My car has 6NS and retrofitted apple car play.
Mine is not working like OP and I am waiting for wifi antenna.

Please ref. to the attached pics on post #8 in this thread.
I'm sure for OP's case as he provided VIN and I used his VIN to check.
And I won't sure your case as I don't have your VIN laughing
By the way, I've helped some F80 LCI to get CarPlay in my region, both of them are EVO unit with 6NS, and factory installed wifi antenna.

XZBMW  RE: F36 with NBT EVO patched for Carplay
Hello Guys ..
New update on me trying to get apple carplay on my sons F36, so UnFan and Siki78 where right ,i could not get Apple Carplay to work after patching the car because there was no wifi antenna installd.
yesterday the antenna arrived after ordering it online ,and this morning the sonn came over with the car so i could build in the antenna.
After connecting the antenna and reasembling everything back the NBT EVO connected imediatly with Apple Carplay.
The only thing that is not working now is he has no fullscreen apple carplay and the voice button on the steering works with Siri but if the car is not connected to Aplle CarPlayt the voice button is not working anymore i always get some message like speech is starting up and at the end of the message is a microphone with a slash (did not take a picture of this message )
So i tried to patch the NBT EVO unit again and when it was patching i could see the message coding Apple Carplay full screen and then came the message sw not compatible wit appla carplay fullscreen..

So i think this has something to doe wit the I-level of the NBT EVO unit?
But why the voice button is not working anymore after patching the car is a mistery to me..

So hopefully someone can help me with this.

Thank you and best regards.

If I help you, please push thanks and reputation.  under

RE: F36 with NBT EVO patched for Carplay
You can try updating the NbtEvo to latest firmware which supports Carplay Full screen using fdl coding. Then reactivate carplay then you should have full screen after coding.

You cannot upgrade software by FDL coding. Needs to be done by flashing the headunit.

Latest update of ilevel for use with USB patch is 18-11-5xx. 18-03-520 to 18-11 is fullscreen compatible. From 19-03-5xx and onwards you need to use ENET and feature installer patch.

Any between 18-11 and 18-03 is ok for ID5/6. For ID4 flashed to ID6 18-03 is most stable.
