RE: How can i see if icom A2 is origional?
I've been using such a clone for quite a few years, after updating the firmware about two years ago, I noticed that ICOM became very unstable. This year, about three months ago, when I wanted to update the firmware to the last one, the whole process was normal and the firmware remained old anyway. Only when I repaired the memory bank (thanks to the advice "ferrum") Icom went through the last firmware update correctly. After the repair I noticed a big improvement in stability. The next step was to change the serial number to one that is correct for ICOM A2. I think you can see that yours is read as ICOM A1. There is a risk that you can catch a fan error that is not in ICOM A2 (everything is described on the forum)
I hope now you understand why I wrote that this ICOM is buggy. |
