XZBMW  GS '08 K25 - Reactivate RDC after deletion with ISTA-P
Hi,

Setup : ICOM A2 Clone + ICOM D cable (round connector - only k line)

A friend of mine has a K25 '08 R1200GS

He asked me to desactivate its RDC because of the lack of working sensor

I've "deleted" RDC( which is a factory option, not a retrofit) via ISTA-P

Now he has ordered new sensors and would like to re-enable RDC.

I've tried to
The problem is... ISTA-P is now asking for a reactivation code.
I should have knew this could happen, but it didn't cross my mind.

Is there a way to re-enable RDC without ISTA & a reactivation code only available at the Stealer? Using NCS-Expert? Or even E-sys(Not working atm)

@Vojno - Please Save me Again with your wisdom !

Would code the VO to 530 (RDC) in NCS-Expert would do?

biggrin

as hicazkar said on K2x series "reactivate" is werry simply with NCS!
Add 530 to VO list, then code KMBI (because of the display) and the RDC module, or if it together wiht the DWA modul then the DWA.
Now comes the "hard" part! biggrin

With ISTA you can add the new sensor in service menu, only you must have the number of the sensors, or need an activator tool.

If you need I can help from remote!

RE: GS '08 K25 - Reactivate RDC after deletion with ISTA-P
just couple of comments to this thread:
My bike's (K1300s) rear sensor died this summer and that raised warning symbol in display.
Tyre change is coming quite soon, so I just wanted to temporarily disable RDC.
That is also very easy to do with ncsexpert: Change the RDC value from "aktiv"  to "nicht_aktiv" for KOMBI and code that module.

There is also temperature option (RDC_TYRE_TEMP) in KOMBI for sensor. If you change its value from night_aktiv to aktiv you can see tyre pressure values in dash.

Regarding sensor wakeup, I bought cheap EL-50448 tool. However with that unit I was unable to do sensor wakeup (It may well be that piece was broken). Then I bought a bit more expensive Autel TS401 tool. That can wakeup sensor and also it shows sensor id and other information about the sensor.
That worked better, so it was then easy to use ista for teaching new sensors to the bike.

cheers,
rd07
