Hello, how many connectors did you disconnect?
Normally this happens when one of them is still on, i removed a m550d days ago without any problem, unplugged the ones from the hood behind the hinges, from the hood latches, the one on the right, left and center.

How I remember - should to remove PINS from ACSM, and flash ACSM as without 8TF option (flash, not code)!

Then give car goes to sleep or remove power supply

Flash is not necessary, wouldn't change anything.
Code out and disconnect sensors. That’s all.

RE: Pedestrian Protection removal - issues with 8TF coding
Solved smile

All that you mentioned was executed:

- unplug all sensors
- code ACSM w/o 8TF
- program with TAL based on non 8TF FA
- inntroduce fdl values to CAF one by one
- put the car to sleep/disconnect battery

But in the end it turns out that mapping in all launchers is not correct to one fld value and that triggered many strange errors - Funktionszuordnungstabelle. Once I've played around with them found one that fitted the car and BANG all errors gone.

Around 6h of work lost due to this, but the knowladge is priceless smile

RE: Pedestrian Protection removal - issues with 8TF coding
I did it two weeks ago in F11. I didn't program anything. Removal of 8TF from the list of equipment, unplugging all four plugs, coding according to VIN and that's it. However, someone tried to remove this system before, but did it very ineptly, soldering the resistors and coding the car. It was generally a mess.

You can also just remove the sensors and actuators involved in pedestrian protection directly from airbag`s coding. No need to touch VO.
