F10, Radiator shutters - how disable in E-SYS?
I have a 2010 BMW F10, 523i with the "radiator shutter" option. I need to temporarily for the summer period make them open before the engine warms up, or code them in a permanently open position. Is it possible to do this with e-sys? If so, what encodings are responsible for this? The procedure must be reversible and for the winter period I must return everything as it was.

RE: F10, Radiator shutters - how disable in E-SYS?
Try to unplug the connector from the motor of shutters first. Manually open the flaps/shutters and then search for AKKS in DME. Enter value 00. And plug the connector back after coding.

RE: F10, Radiator shutters - how disable in E-SYS?
Are you overheating? My F11 530d doesnt overheat in 35 degrees ambient temps currently. The curtains open mostly when AC is on and in slow moving or stationary situations. I know the diesel is more efficient thermally, but yeah never heard of anyone disabling them unless they removed them completely and left the connector to motor plugged to install spotlights or LED bars behind the kidneys.

I completely replaced the motor and cooling system. I see how temperature adversely affects this motor. And I noticed that the car rides much better at temperatures up to 90 degrees. After the motor is fully warmed up and in hot weather, it becomes more sluggish. I see that the high temperature is not good for him and I'm trying to achieve additional cooling. After that, I will make changes to the thermostat and pump controls. |

(12-08-2022, 04:23 AM)djdum Wrote: open them thru ista, disconnect them I turned off the chip, reset the correction and options. The error is gone. After that I connected the chip back. The curtain was still closed. I opened it with my hands but it closes again. Unfortunately, the solution with the reset did not help. |

RE: F10, Radiator shutters - how disable in E-SYS?
I deactivated them in the DME.
The easiest way is to pull the plug, then you get an error message and you can use the code to deactivate the whole thing in the DME. Basically like a Thunung fell |
