Tried to flash update the cam ecu? I’ve got the similar issue someday ago, when reverse cam switches on, cluster got malfunction warning, but cam screen shows on iDrive property. Have no idea but just try to flash the cam ecu, then the warning gone. No parts/cable replaced, it’s really strange but flash won’t hurt, worth to try.

For my case, that's TRSVC. Flashed to latest.

Look mates, there’s nothing to reset or flash needed! It’s regular problem of cameras with round 4 pin connector

That's my solid experience, I've tried:
- replace cable, teach-in camera with ISTA -> problem still exist
- replace camera, teach-in camera with ISTA -> problem still exist
After these replacement, next step will going to replace TRSVC ecu, but before order it, just to be curious to flash it to latest istep (I'm just follow the default behavior of dealership in my area, they will update istep if they got some unknown issues). And the warning gone! I can't explain why but that's works.

You Flashed it with Esys or Ista? I know Ista will update the whole car ,FDL coding with Esys no problem but flashing is another thing.

Known issue... i know a lot of cars with bluescreen or errors with the trsvc cam.
The only way to "fix" it is to code the watchdog and the early video to "OFF"

but in some cases the hsd cable between trsvc cam and ecu is the problem! try another one just for testing

I would agree if there is no screen/blue screen/green screen (yeah I've seen these at all), it will be hardware issue.

And the issue in this case is, camera screen works property, but camera malfunction warning show only on cluster.

For my experience, the case that "watchdog" coding can be fixed, will be the camera can show about half second, and then show blue screen and warning.

Denying another's solid experience helps nothing

- Delete Errors
- SG Reset
- Delete Errors 

Don't ask about that.....some TRSVs got "special Bugs"
