ISta with iStep 22-11 came July, perhaps middle July.

This was reason.
Before, dealer needed to start the function tuning detection manually, now it should be automaticly done while FASTA files reading.

Thorsten

Im unsure if we are speaking across eachother, but my point is that tuning detection window during ecu readings will pop up, and has done since ISTA 4.24.xx release...

HI,

I am pretty sure, thiat 4.24.xx didnt start automaticly the tuning detection, it was needed to start up this manually.

I'm sure it is a ''trick'' with Esys.

RE: [S0777] tuning detected
I have examined the ABL to tuning detection. I found that the CALID, CVN, PROG COUNTER, WORKING HOURS, SVK_CURRENT, SVK_SUPPLIER, SVK_WERK and SVK_BACKUP (all 30) are examined. I think if the algorithm PROG COUNTER SVK_BACKUP comes in connection with a tuning error (FS,IS) then a tuning is detected. A bench backup is not completely written with SVK_BACKUP in certain situations because some areas are not rewritable

may be a good approach but for example the PROG_COUNTER cannot be evaluated because the tuning detection also works offline! The offline ISTA has no connection to BMW Server and cannot know how often the car really was flashed.

SVK_CURRENT, SVK_SUPPLIER, SVK_WERK and SVK_BACKUP can easily be changed via Esys/write VCM and normally should not change with a tuning....

Help me please, what is "CALID"?

RE: [S0777] tuning detected
CALID = Calibration ID
CVN = Calibration verification number

ah, thx!
That makes absolutely more sense than the other values.
So if it is possible to read out before tuning, normally you can adjust the values and the tuning detection should not work!?!

RE: [S0777] tuning detected
If PROG COUNTER is checked, this means a simple reflash of DME will trigger tuning detection flag.

EntryNav2, MGU, Evo - carplay with or without ATM, full fsc, component protection and more.
NCD 2.0 secure coding - typeschlussel (typecode) change, region change
under Press rep & thanks if I you found this useful. PM if you need more help.

This does NOT mean that AT ALL. It's only one minor thing which is checked along many others. Maybe unless that number is way out of any sense.
