ISTA : I tricked it to use a more recent FR database
I'm posting this because it might help others since it's often pretty hard to find your language file in the same version as your ISTA install.
Problem 1 I needed ISTA in French Problem 2: I had enough space for only one unpacked language Solution 1: I couldn't find the FR database for 4.36.40, nor could I find ISTA 4.37.13 to go with my french language, so I edited the version number in the database to match 4.36.40. I'm sure it's not recommended but it works. This solution was seen on YouTube but I don't remember if posting links is allowed, it's video rZ8hKOnt4yw (<- this doesn't breach rule 13 as it's not my channel) Solution 2: I couldn't have both languages unpacked in C:\EC-APPS\ISTA\SQLiteDBs and replacing the EN db with the FR one threw an error. I couldn't find the config file in which the language was set. So I simply repacked my edited FR databases in a *.7zip and reran the installer, checking French only as the language. Et voilà : I have a fresh ISTA install with French and 15 GB of free space |

It won't crash. But you will find many ABLs which display gibberish (string ids which were not found in language database). So basically, many functions not useable at all.
