Golf 7 ECU replacement. ERP0617E error
Hello,
I have Golf 7 and need to replace ECU (because of water damage). My orginal Ecu is in partialy working condition, I can fully connect to it, but engine is cranking and does not start. I have bought another ECU (same numbers on sticker). When i connect to old ECU i can see part number 04L906056HB, but when i connect to new ECU I see part number 04L906056GT. When i try to do replacement procedure with ODIS, I get error ERP0617E. How can i solve this problem? Thanks in advance |

ERP0617E means that sw of your ECU doesn't match with data on VAG servers for your VIN.
If hw number is the same ,try to flash your new ECU with .frf 04L906056HB. |

Do immo programming with Odis then flash to the correct software, should all be ok after as long as ecu hard ware matches, the part numbers on the ecu are a generic number
