Hi folks, i'm a hobby-electronics technician and owned an defect RNS310. The device tries to startup (display is getting blue for a millisecond or so) several times and then shuts down completely. This looks more like a softwareproblem to me, but maybe somebody around here can give me some hints where to look at or what to do to bring the device back to life?
In my workshop i got a lot of technical equipment, if that is needed.

If U are shure that is firmware problem try to reflash gl512 via JTAG or desolder and reflash via programmer. After that U need to get code from new dump.
When radio will power up after programming gl512 U need to reflash via Update CD whole radio.

I'm not shure, that is why i'm asking 
But i tried the reflash using JTAG. First is downloaded the existing Flash content as a backup (64MB) and then erased and reflashed a known working Firmware Flash.

But this did not change anything on the error. The unit draws up to 670 mA at 12V (with CD drive connected), the displays shortly starts up the background light (for a millisecond or so) when pushing the ON tipper and also lights up the key. But then nothing happens, not reaction on the knobs or something. After some seconds it turns itself off again.
