Hello,

i bought an E91 330i today. Car is in great shape. But it has one major problem.
The Mileage was tampered with. So someone probaly messed with the Cas and the Keys.

Problem now is the Car does only Recognize the Keys when there in the Slot. Comfort Acess (yes its actually equipped with it) and Locking Unlocking with the Keys wont work.

I checked in ISTA Key is Listed as 1 and Mode 3?! And Key 2 is listed as Number 3 and Mode 3.

Tool32 tells me both Key are Number 1 and working in Mode 5 which is Comfort Acess Mode iirc.

Any ideas how to fix this issue? Reprogramm keys? Read CAS Data?
I have R270.

I hope someone is able to give me a good hint. I am not very good with this Key and ISN Stuff.

Any other faults ?
Check with inpa if CAS see the signal from keys - its under FBD telegram. Try with other keys with same frequency as car.
Maybe Your problem is in diversity antena.

You can also update CAS or whole car with winkfp or ista p - not saying that will help but shouldn't make it worse.

No other Fault. I attached the Screenshots. Seems it isnt detecting a Signal.

One Key says Key 1 Personal Number 1.

But if i check cas with ISTA under Personal Number it says. Basic Setting, no Number set?!

Hi,

Flash + Eeprom is attached. Someone else tried to fix it yesterday with changes in eeprom. Now Kl15 isnt even working. Maybe you can help!

EDIT: Flash that you posted is probably wrong - to fix it I need 512KB flash

I tried to fix your eeprom with other flash that I had on my PC, try it

This is the 512kb Dump. I also attached the "fixed" Eeprom with KL15 not working anymore.

I ill try your fix, thank you!

Sadly didnt work. I think the Keys are bad. Anything else doesnt make sense

Problem is still not solved. Tried alot with Eddie.
Before i send cas and keys to him maybe somone has another idea.

I checked in INPA no Remote signal is detected. Key only gets detected when its inserted in slot.
I have cgdi programmer but i think either the KEY data in CAS is damaged or the Car Data on key is damaged.

its e91, it have common problem with diversity antena and tailgate wires, check this place first
