Since a few have already written to me, for whatever reason, here's a little guide... Think SEDOY doesn't have the time for it at all

If you got your link from Joggi...
mirror the data on your MEGA ACCOUNT and
load from your MEGA ACCOUNT
with MegaSync Desktop App (look @ my Signatur)

When you have loaded all data, install ISTA with the SETUP

At the end of the installation you will see a long key, in the upper area, mark it completely, copy it and save it in a TEXT file, Cancel and close Ista for now

You then post this text file here and receive your activation key

If SEDOY answered you with another TEXT file, then save it where your other TEXT file from the installation is, open it, mark everything and copy it.

Open ista and follow the instructions, you come back to your key,
where there is a large field underneath, the key you just copied comes in there, continue and finish, if ista hangs simply cancel, close and open again..

If you apply a major OS update, would that require a new ISTA license key?

Would the current key no longer being valid prevent either the ICOM or ENET interface from being able to connect with the vehicle?

My question was answered here... seems like an OS update will require a new license.

On my reserve back up laptop i stil have the standalone version 4.39.20 and the laptop is running on windows 11 22H2 and i just updated to windows 11 23H2 and the license is still activ.

You need to DEFINE "major OS update". Going from W10 to W11 or similar - yes. Staying on W10 it will probably never ever going to get "major OS update" anymore.
