E60 Active steering fault
I've been handed a car that's had work done via a previous owner, it initially had an active steering fault, but this was due to the AS module being from the donor car and wasn't vin matched or coded.

I remote flashed & coded after the car got himself a DCAN cable to vin match and it accepted that but now has a F can fault for both DSC acceleration sensors, the ones that sit under each seat.

So far, I've coded the car, checked vin's match, checked it's been flashed for the car (not many options so hard to get this one wrong it seems)

A garage I know had it while I was away and said they tried a new DSC module to rule that out but I'm unsure if it was an AS DSC module as there are 2 options.

I have since checked the acceleration sensors are the correct parts as again there are 2 types, the standard all E60's have and a second part number for the AS cars.

The F CAN circuits working, I have removed the insulation tape around the driver's side acceleration sensor loom I found under the seat, and it's not broken, I assume a previous check of the loom was done, same again under the bonnet where the loom is up the top and accessible, both red herrings as I expected to find bad repairs.

F CAN has been continuity checked between the DSC, AS, acceleration sensor's and up on the steering wheel where it feeds into the SZL, no shorts or everything would be offline? and continuity is good.

No signs of water ingress, corroded connections, or obvious breaks.

Any further steps I should be trying, I think I might have to buy a cheap scope to check what's going off on the F CAN but didn't know if I needed to try anything else first?

3 DSC faults listed as insignificant CAN faults 5E85 5E89 5E8B all say the error memory needs clearing to resolve but they come back (there are no test routines for this, the ABL just says to clear the error memory)
D366 and D368 are the acceleration sensor faults for the F can.

TIA.

RE: E60 Active steering fault
Under seats are accelerating, not speed sensors.

RE: E60 Active steering fault
Maybe try to reset dsc adaptations thro tool32 and then recalibrate all dsc sensors

RE: E60 Active steering fault
Hi. Commissioning in progress? Or are there typing errors?
Or has everything been decided?
