Hi Guys hope all is well..

Im looking to flash my 640D with Alpina EGS Gearbox Software.

I have carried out the flash however when i start car it starts in D3 not D1


Anyone share some light on this please.?

Bring all Ecu’s to same iLevel. Especially instrument cluster.

Flash it with LCI or prelci alpina software instead. Happens when ilevel difference is too big.

Which swfl did you use?

Hi,

i did try with LCI it gave the D3 start and PreLCI just wouldnt generate a flash process came up invalid.

i will need to check swfl used. i am using the latest PSDZ data and majority of the ECU's are outdated also. will try bringing all to latest istep and see if problem still occurs

i also heard its best to update ZGW module too as this may be the main reason for car to start in Gear 3.

Usually when i have gear 3 start up issue, i end up flashing with a different builddate alpina swfl. Always works out fine.
 
I have 3 different 30d based TALs prepared already for direct flashing that can be used on all 30d, 35d, 40d, 50d's.

Ive still not had time to try it out yet.

would you mind sharing the TAL's you have prepared? would i just load the TAL on esys and flash?
