Hi,

Bmw E90 instrument cluster with 080D0WQ 

Can anyone help virginize this cluster for retrofit? Miles to 0 and blank  vin? Does it need to be desoldered?

Your file still has vin and mileage as original. I have desoldered eeprom and can edit mileage using hextag. But file is write protected so can't alter vin.
Is it best to replace the eeprom?
Any help greatly appreciated.

You need programmer, with support erasing incremental area (mileage). Or replace with brand new/erased chip.

My fault, stupid windows permissions! Anyway, have writen eeprom, will update once fitted in the car. Thanks to everyone.

So, managed to write vin and 0 miles, but when trying to code I get the following error. Does anyknow know what the error is? Photo attached
