Hello,

yesterdag i did a F10 and F11 no problem for ista 4.36.40 with chinese clone icom next.  Today trying to connect and read out faults on E60 from 2009 and give's following fault. 
The vehicle could not be identified successfully. Check vehicle interface and 'PAD active
Someone has an explanation and solution for it ??
Could it be the firmware from the icom next that creates the problem?

Thats reality. Does your ISTA connection window show DCAN as available (on F series too)? You sure E60 is 2009? K-CAN is faulty much more frequently on chinesiums, but 2009 has D-CAN.

I've had the same problem but with DCAN cable and ENET cable. With ENET I could connect to F series, with DCAN I could not connect to E series (yes I changed settings in Ista before connecting). I don't remember but I think I couldn't connect with my ICOM to E series aswell. Try reinstalling EDIABAS, not repair, but uninstall and install. That fixed it for me.

Surely your ICOM clone is having problems, I have the same one here with an ICOM clone but as I have the genuine next one too, it works perfectly

have you tried establishing connection with e-sys or other programs?
Because two things that control connection protocols are:
ICOM Physical
EDIBAS Software
Do you have installed redistribution package?(.NET, Visual&C)

perhaps the problem is not an erratic working with the protocol.

it simply does not recognize the KL15 in the E series even with power on pin 1 of the obdii socket.
It is likely to be a hardware problem.

Hi thanks for your reply, your wright the car is from 04/2007. And yes it shows D-can and in the right corner down theres a marked box with an X use I-com. But it's a chinese icom next. I'll try with a chinese icom a1 today and see what this brings.
Will try again today with other laptop and icom a and switch everything see if it works with an other combination.
Hope that brings a solution.

UPDATE
Just tried with three different laptops and none of them sees the E60 with chinese icom next.
Then i looked at active sessions i only see a blue dot a space an on the end unknown.
When i take icom a yellow tool as big as the icom next he directly finds the car and everything works.
Think icom next is bad ?!
Hope chinese seller will take his responsability.
