BMW f48 recall, Dealer cannot update help
Hello, I have a customer with a BMW X1 that was recalled at BMW, the DME has to be updated but they can't because someone replaced the radio with an NBT and their ista orders the unit and the CON to be dismantled.
customer doesn't have the original radio is there any way for them to be able to update since they don't have access to ista and for warranty it really has to be updated. I have a HU entry but possibly with different hardware. Thanks |

the problem is that none of these models come out with NBT, only with NBT Evo.
put the CID of the F15 and normal NBT. I'll try tomorrow to put an entrynav without navigation that was like the car's original to see if it's possible to update the whole car. |

If they run software update ista will search to exchange nbt so will show update. Successfully retrofit on BMW F30 335xi 248,302,3AG,430,5AG,5AS,6NS,8TH,IHKA3

RE: BMW f48 recall, Dealer cannot update help
I had same situation with my wifes car.
Update DDE to F056-22-03-552 or higher and also correct shown i-Step in car to used version. Now bring car to your dealer, they need to create an messurement plan where also is sightable that required I-Step is already on DDE and report to BMW car is not programmable, but they can confim update is done and finish the recall messurement. Worked for my wifes car and my dealer, idk if all dealer will do same way, but also easiest way for them to get gid of this "problem car". |

is the IRAP service not performed anymore? An IRAP specialist should be able to program the DME/DDE remotely.
