So yesterday I got the car back from the dealer. Software update failed due to an error dring flash. The technician didn't have the time to figure out what was the cause, but obviously the KAFAS4 11F FSC is to blame. I now have to find a way to clear it, because the car has to go back for the recall.

@chang2 was kind enough to verify if there was an OEM FSC generated for my VIN, and this was confirmed (so no fake 11F FSC)

This acually amazes me.
The car was in for the recall and the dealer said the car has to come back in because the flash had failed. The technician did not have the time to figure out what caused the failed flash but the guy giving back the keys explicitly asked me if I retrofitted anything (I denied).
Aside from the SLI FSC and the appropriate FDL coding, the car is completely stock, so something must be blocking the flash.

Hello together,
I also had the problem that a software update had to be made and the coding was aborted because the FSC could not be saved. I had an FSC installed on the net for Carplay and apparently ISTA says it is a non OEM FSC. Then the dealer had BMW look at it and they realised there was a fake FSC in the car.

I would be interested to know if it is possible to delete the FSC?
Because in the meantime I bought the OEM FSC for CarPlay from BMW.
