If your ISTA was able to calculate measures plan, SO will dealers WILL be able too. What they will do about that fault, it's up to them.

If IHKA update was not calculated that means, there was NO update in your PSdZ version same as for many other units. If ISTA would NOT like something, IT WOULD NOT CALCULATE ANY PLAN. Irrespective of whether IHKA has an update or not.

Ok, ok.  So i get it now, finally.  What i've been talking about all along is the IHKA / radio control unit "PANEL", as you sad few times about "panel" separate from the control unit.  Jeez....

That totally explains to me now why the IHKA control unit in the tree as you said, information remains THE SAME !!!  urgh...

So, yes, the part i've been referring to is the stinkin "panel" for IHKA / radio.  Sorry took this long for me to "get it".

And yes, looks like the IHKA control unit can detect what panel is detected, and that is what's throwing the fault code of "wrong variant of IKHA control unit installed".  As a "whole" this fault says car has wrong panel installed.

I don't know if the panel is part of the software update for IKHA control unit.

Okay, i'll head over to the service tomorrow, and see what they say.  Backup plan is to put the original panel.

With the retrofit panel, that Max A/C button actually works as is, i.e. "max" A/C flow.  I thought that button would work as MENU but Max A/C button was as Max A/C setting.

By the way, the ISTA i'm running is 4.37.4x and is using programming data 4.37.42 version.

I do have PSDz version 4.38.30, and from that "PSDz alone" by browsing its directories could i figure out whether that version has update for IHKA for S15A series I-Level S15A-22-11-530_v4.0.1 ?

I don't know which exact iLevel your IHKA is at, but newest firmware for it appeared in S15A-22-11-510. And no, you can't find that out by just browsing directories. You need to look into KIS database.

How do you look into the KIS database to find that the current IHKA firmware for S15A series is Nov 2022 version 510?  Steps?

If that's the case that Nov 2022 version 510 is current FW version , i.e. from 2022 and not a typo (is it 2022 or 2021 ???), then interesting that ISTA with latest 4.38.30 PsdZ didn't show my IHKA control unit as taking software update when the  4.38.30 PsdZ for S154 series has Nov 22 version "530".

Maybe because IHKA shows up in the control unit tree as orange (because of the wrong variant is installed fault code) so the software update measure plan automatically removed it from the plan?

It does NOT work like "find that the current IHKA firmware for S15A series". One finds update path for specific part (HWEL).

You also won't want to go through "steps" manually. It is too time consuming. I made my own software for that.

But it is not perfect, I'm also constantly learning how to do that. I now noticed that my software jumped to a bit different IHKA, so probably that is a mistake. In that case you are at the latest version already.

And it DEFINITELY does not look at faults to exclude something from updating. The calculation code has no idea what faults are there.
