G31 803A57 SEC police car
Hello,
I have a BMW G31 530d. He used to be police car. I keep getting an error message with the communication. I have already deleted this FA and e-code and recoded the car: DIGR, EF07, EF22, EF32, 10Z, 130,138, 940, 941, 9AB, 9DB ISTA shows me: SEC: 803A57 SEC failure of supplementary module Thanks for the help |

maybe overall flash needed for ecus, or one of them, usualy "same" codes need to flash module before use

I flashed the car today. Unfortunately, it did nothing.

Have you tested to change Type Code to a normal one ? Maybe it has specific codes. Also updated the VCM with the new FA without the codes ? Just an idea.

Type code I have already checked. it is "11AJ" and ok.
What kind of ECU is this SEC and where is it installed? Maybe I have to remove it first Thanks |

This is "Sicherheitz- und behördenfahrzeuge" module. It's not installed on cars which do not have option 138.
I have no idea where it's installed. Doesn't ISTA show it's location when you connect it to car (probably you should restore option 138 before doing that)? |

I have already tried it. SEC is visible in ISTA (yellow) but does not show where it is installed

Have you searched for it in REP/SSP documents (while option 138 was there)? It could be called "Supplementary module for official vehicle" in there. I can see there is FUB about it and in it is says look for wiring diagram. But I can't see it without a car connection with proper options. You should also get wiring diagram if you go into troubleshooting of that fault and you should see it's location in there.
Update: found it. It's the top unit on the left side at the rear of a car in the trunk area. Picture is worth a thousand words though

Unfortunately, I still have this error.
I have found the control unit and pulled out the plugs. SEC is still there. Does anyone know where it is installed? Thanks |
