ISTA/D is totally independent so should uninstall ok.

The update from 3.55.0.300 to 3.55.400 went very smoothly for me. ISTA 3.55.4.000 runs with the emulation with no problems.
And the expert mode works with 3.55.4.000 which wasn't working with 3.55.0.300

I used Ista-p update fix at http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.ph...5#pid74515 and installed each following update in the right order avoiding starting the program between the updates until I completed the very last update "3.55.400" and used the correct registration file "3.55.4.000 register (x64)" for my Windows 8.1 64 bit system.

Do you mean with the emulator or ICOM cable?

Update about expert mode,
apparently it doesn't clear the modules that call for replacement. they reappear before programming stage. I guess I need to find an older version which has the expert mode working properly

had the same problem like you
need to install older version and check and so on to find correct one
do you remember which version work for you because I don't ?

I didn't have luck with 3.55.0.300 and 3.55.4.000
Those are the only two versions I tried so far with bad results. Expert mode in 3.55.0.300 was worse, it didn't even let me deselect program and code options for modules (they reappeared) In 3.55.4.00 only replacement for modules reappear but it is still worthless for me since ISTA is asking for a module replacement.

Please let me know if you find a working version, I was about to try BMW ISTA-P 2.53.5.003 Native + Expert mode but it is password protected.

had the same problem like you

I have replace the file "ApplicationConfig.xml" and update 3.55.0.300 + 3.55.1.001 + 3.55.2.001 + 3.55.3.001 .

but no sucess in 3.55.4.000, I have deleted the BMW Group" folder in C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming, but same problema
