Copy the content of the folder to an USB stick with 32 GB and plug it in to your USB connector in your glove box.

And for cic not upgraded to the latest firmware version? how do ??
I retrofitted the cic on my bmw e90 2006, I not used the emulator but I did the hack.

The map update, you can not if the cic is released from scripts, you must mount a' emulator or do the 'upgrade to the table.

Do we need to type a code when updating the map?
I have seen on this "BMW Navigation Update DVDs" website, they sell map updates with codes..

Sure, you need a corresponding FSC (enabling code for map update).
You can either buy one from all over the net, or go to BMW and pay a lot for it.
Other possibility is to generate your own FSC for free with the FSC generator I posted:

For this you need a diagnostic interface to read out software ID from your CIC unit (BMW ICOM recommended)

With Script activation is possible update maps, just "activate" FSC´s with FSTool. and not reboot Unit. not need to add emulator.


Just update my CIC yesterday, with this. burned in DVD, work Perfect

yeah, ok, but few have FSTOOL, an 'emulator is much cheaper ($ 25/30)
