Hello Friends,
I have successfully replaced my CIC HDD to an SSD from Samsung EVO 250GB. Everything is going fine. Unfortunately I could not enlargment music partition. I've tried more than once. It just was not possible. My CIC did not recognize the new partition. I would like to have experiences of other members.

Hi Tibo, first you have to download the map, then copy the folders into a 32 GB usb stick, insert it into the usb glovebox port. After few seconds a message appears on the CID screen and ask if you want to update maps. When you pusk accept will ask for an activation code (FSC) which you can create with the FSC generator tool . If you read the specific thread you're gona understand how you can do that ,so good luck and enjoy.

I put all files from subfolders DVD 1, 2 & 3 on the root of a 32GB stick.
The install went along, but stopped asking for 2/3.
Created a second stick with DVD 2, and another with DVD 3. Immediately upon inserting stick 2, it asked for 3/3, and immediately showed update complete.
Ie. all map data was indeed loaded from the single stick, but needs the separate sticks to verify the install.
Does save some time when copying to car, but would be nice to have the car not asking for separate sticks.
Any tricks?

Does anyone know if RDS-TMC data reception is regulated by these maps?
Completely lost TMC data after upgrading to 2014 maps.

No, not really. I read some place that for TMC to be received for a specific country, that country had to be "enabled" in the current maps release.
Since TMC had stopped working in my country, I wondered if my recent map update could be the cause.
To partially answer my question, TMC has now started working again, so the update had nothing to do with the lack of messages.

Sure, you need a corresponding FSC (enabling code for map update).
You can either buy one from all over the net, or go to BMW and pay a lot for it.
Other possibility is to generate your own FSC for free with the FSC generator I posted:

For this you need a diagnostic interface to read out software ID from your CIC unit (BMW ICOM recommended)

hello i am new on this forum.
I would like to ask you for accuracy before making a bad thing about GPS .
I already downloaded a map to update my DVD (premium on 2015 BMW F10).
for the generator is found on the net, but to interact with the car, then I use a cable "ENET" or must absolutely use "BMW ICOM"??
