Can R270 erase VIN? Don’t need mileage erased.

It should work...It really depends on what chip. You can remove VIN and try to write back and see whathappens.

you dont need any programmer function for this. You just need to read 95320 and 160dw eeps and just change it manualy. Never tried to FF it I always just reset the mileage and change the VIN with the one from new car. Worked everytime.

I have 160DOWT chip desolder but no matter what I try it does not read the chip. I want to change VIN in a cluster so it works correctly in F10. At the moment cluster is working fine with red dot but doesnt allow to read/reset service (because of different VIN) |

just don't.
you can use R270 for 160D0WT 080WT, but my advice is don't even touch 35160WT with it. MGU Patching/Virginizing.

F30 6WB didn't come with 160D0WT, it was only with 35160WT.
For 160D0WT(WQ) just read it with programmer, change found short and long VIN numbers with FF, and write it back. My advice: Never use clip, always solder. MGU Patching/Virginizing.
