Help installing driver for kdcan on usb 3.1
Just purchased new laptop which have usb 3.1 already installed ftdi drives but when I canect kdcan in device manager nothing shows

Open Device manager
Check for devices without drivers
If have - download driver from FTDI site and install them
Check COM port devices
Adjust COM port number to same like in EDIABAS
Adjust COM port timing from original 16 to 1

Problem is that laptop which is brand new doesn’t show anything in device manager i check on old laptop kdcan works but on new one only what I can think is that because all usb are 3.1 newer generation of usb

USB3.1 ports should support ALL previous generations USB. Are you sure your USB ports are not disabled in BIOS or something similar? Also are you sure you have USB controller drivers installed properly?

What adapter are you using for? Usb C to usb 2.0?
