Hi,i change instrument claster in E39 540i from 1996 year.Car have dme motronic 5.2.I coded cluster many time,but gaugages dont work.Vin on cluster od changed.Do the M5 cluster work in car from 96 year?

I must coded instrument claster for car 96 year,because signal to gaugages from dme is konventionall,not CAN.I changed manualy FSW_PSW,for exemple "kulmiter temperatur" from CAN,to konventional,but dont work.So I'm wondering if it's possible?

If the cluster expects the info over CAN and the DME won't output that, I don't see it working unless you make something separate to convert the signals from analog to CAN
