G20 combine 1CR remote start and 536 auxiliary heater
Hi there and a happy new year!
I got a G21 M340i Touring with 536 auxiliary heater equipped. I´m currently talking to FEMto about the ECU unlock and the 1CR remote start patch for cars that can´t be equipped with it from the factory. Now i searched for the blow by heater in the part catalogue for a friend to retrofit and found an interesting information. It´s not allowed to retrofit the 536 auxiliary heater in cars with 1CR remote start. Does someone already did something like that and has a car with 1CR and 536 equipped? I would like to use the remote start in the summer to cool the car and the blow by heater in the winter to warmup the car. While the remote start would also be useful in the winter, the blow by heater does a better job and also heats the small cooling circuit. Cheers! Edit: I mixed up 4NE and 536 because my car is equipped with both options. |

RE: G20 combine 1CR remote start and 4NE blow-by heater
"the blow by heater does a better job and also heats the small cooling circuit."
4NE does not heat the engine, and cooling circuit ! Engine ventilation heating The engine ventilation heating is attached to the blow-by pipe. When the engine is cold, the engine ventilation heating prevents ice formation from freezing condensation within the engine ventilation. The engine ventilation heating is the optional equipment SA4NE (generally for cold country version.) Functional description If freezing occurs in the engine ventilation system, the pressure in the crankcase may increase. This may cause engine oil to be burnt or pushed past gaskets out of the engine. The oil loss can lead to total destruction of the engine. The DME control unit activates the engine ventilation heating (many motorisations via relay). Switch-on conditions: Terminal 15 on The engine ventilation heating warms up when the ignition is switched on. Depending on the ambient temperature, heating may be completed in a shorter space of time." Vanos Press Thanks and Reputation, if my post helped you. |

Please have a look at a G20 and "Stationary auxiliary heater". Quote:Stationary heater circulating pump Quote:Coolant changeover valve, stationary auxiliary heater |
