Hey Guys,

I am trying to code a new parking brake on a 2013 E70 and am getting ECU Does not answer COAPI-2020: IFH-0009 when trying to factory code in NCS.

in ista+ i can see the module and reset any errors but i am unable to code it in NCS and in INPA i also get no resposne from ECU.

Can anyone advise what the correct procedure is to code a new EMF module and how to fix the communication error in NCS expert?

but if all other modules in the car work without issue, meaning i can read and code them, then really it should not be a connection issue right?

How is the wiring harness near the module? The harness can get damaged right near the connector

Thanks everyone for your feedback, turns out the "new" aftermarket EMF was the issue. We plugged the old one in to test and there was no issue with communication.

Good idea if buying aftermarket is to plug it in and try to code before going through all the labor to replace.
