ford fiesta u2005 dtc
hi to all
i have problem with a 2012 ford fiesta. car in limp mode abs lights on and got no rev counter. its gave out a load of codes so im setting through them 1by1. first is po336 and p0335 crank sensor circuit A. sensor has been replaced twice and so has cam sensor ive checked wiring from pcm to ckp sensor its perfect but fault still exists. when i do live data i can see rpm from flywheel with car running. i know it could be reluctor ring but access is a joke the car has done 23000 genuine miles it has no rattles coming from the box at all. but ive also got u2005 vehicle speed fault code as well. there seems to be many scenarios for this code online going from ambient air to audio module to cranhkshaft circuit b? or not even a code at all. if anyone has a clue i would be grateful for any info on what could be wrong or causing this issue. |

Was the engine in this vehicle replaced? Or was the harness unplugged from multiple sensors and replugged?
Thanks and Rep Appreciated!

AND CANBUS Thats why i like my 1987 mini its only got 4 fuses lol |

RE: ford fiesta u2005 dtc
You should get the instrument Cluster repaired, very common problem due to lead-free solder being used from factory
also regarding crank sensor codes, you need to check magnetic strip on crankshaft sensor phonic wheel, maybe got damaged |

RE: ford fiesta u2005 dtc
At the very least, before reaching a conclusion about any specific module, check the CAN BUS integrity properly, you have quite a few U codes, other than the U codes, and the CKP code, you only have B1A55 in RCM. Was the vehicle in an accident? If yes, have you cleared the crash in RCM?
Thanks and Rep Appreciated!

RE: ford fiesta u2005 dtc
hi to all
yes car had a small bang to front passenger airbags did not go off car has been driving over a year now with no problems. when i put diags on car i noticed crash data and cleared code and it has stayed off. it hadnt been cleared since the accident . i have done canbus check 60 ohm at dlc and can hi lo voltage is correct 5v between the two and no short to ground or open circuit. ive checked power and ground to abs module and thats fine. im intrigued to know where cluster gets is rev counter signal from as i can see it on live data but not at instruments /but i dont have a wiring schematic for it as clocks are working but no rev counter. i know focus had a cluster fault but i was not sure about fiesta. i shall check reluctor on flywheel with borescope as hole for sensor is set right back in the gearbox housing. i shall keep you informed of the outcome as i can gather its quite a common problem but not alot of info for it. |
